Members can start in middle school and continue through to the young adult program. Chapter sites are located in middle schools and towns throughout New Hampshire and the ages of the participants at each Chapter Site varies according to grade level.
The majority of our members experience social, learning or developmental abilities that differ from those of their same-aged peers. Members should have a desire to develop friendships and take part in meetings and activities with others who may face unique challenges.
Participants are typically functioning at a level that allows them to attend activities without requiring one-on-one assistance, which fosters an independent growth experience. However, exceptions can be made, based on Chapter Site resources. In addition, members can stay beyond the age of 20 and may take on a mentor role at that point.
In 2015, DreamCatchers New Hampshire expanded and established our first adult group called DreamCatchers 2.0. Members meet Manchester twice monthly.
In 2017, we expanded our 2.0 programs to Dover and added Hillsboro to our Goffstown group (formerly Manchester 2.0).
